<p>A description is given of a means for producing compost from domestic and/or garden refuse, having a bell-shaped container (1) which has an upper filling opening (8), which can be closed by a lid (9), and a lower removal opening (10), which can be closed by a flap (11), and which can be aerated via wall cutouts (10, 14) and can be deaerated at the lid side. Good aeration of the container contents can be achieved and heat losses can be avoided in that the inner side of the peripheral container walls is provided with upright, inwardly projecting webs (15a, 15b, 15c) which run from bottom to top and delimit inwardly open ducts (16a, 16b, 16c) which communicate with associated wall cutouts (10, 14) provided in the lower container region. <IMAGE></p> |
