SIMULTANEOUS TREATMENT METHOD FOR WATER DISCHARGE AND DEODORIZATION

PURPOSE:To remove polluting substances (COD) efficiently and stably without producing malodor wherein the polluting substances are expressed as chemical oxygen demand which comes from a slight amount of volatile organic compounds remaining in waste water drained off at a chemical plant. CONSTITUTION:Waste water drained off at a chemical plant, etc., is biologically treated by fixed bed-type bioreactors 3 which are saddle-type and/or ring-type porous ceramics filled with bacteria to remove volatile organic compounds in the waste water in a slight amount. The malodor occurred by the fixed bed-type bioreactors 3 is removed by leading the malodor gas to a deodorization tower 13 filled with the saddle-type and/or ring-type porous ceramics.
