<p>PURPOSE:To perform accurate decision of the regeneration timing of a filter regardless of transient running of an engine, the change of a time of the engine, and unevenness in a solid, in a device wherein two filter devices are disposed in juxtaposition in an exhaust passage. CONSTITUTION:A time when a difference between amounts of an exhaust gas individually flowing in the filters 2 and 3 of two filter devices A and B is reduced to zero and a temperature difference between filter case parts 2a and 3b is also reduced to zero is decided as a filter regeneration timing. By regenerating other filter, the collection period of which is lengthened to a highest value, than a filter regenerated at a preceding time, the filter is effectively regenerated and besides and by deciding a regeneration timing based on a temperature difference between the filter case parts 2a and 3b, a filter regenerating timing is detected through simple control with high precision without being influenced by transient running of an engine and the change with a time of an engine, and unevenness in an individual of the engine.</p> |
