An axially movable valve piston (3) and a rotatable spindle (2), which are connected to one another via a thread (24; 32), are guided in a head piece (1). A sealing ring (5), which projects beyond the end of the head piece (1) facing the inlet, is held by the head piece (1). The sealing ring (5) is constructed on the projecting outer end as a face (54) for resting in a touching manner on a valve seat (62) and is constructed on the opposite inner end as a lip seal (52) which interacts with the valve piston (3).
