PURPOSE:To securely braze a header plate and side plate without incurring buckling of tube and deformation of header plate. CONSTITUTION:Each tube 2 is forced into each press fit hole 12 of a header plate 5, further, both ends of a pair of side plates 9 are abutted with a pair of header plates 5. Next, a flaring pin is forced into both end of the tube 2, flaring both ends of the tubes 2 on both side of core to 180 deg., further flaring the remaining tubes at center side of core to 60-80 deg.. Next, the core, etc., is hanged from one side of the header plate 5, it is brazed. At this time, due to flared part 2a of 180 deg., the tubes at both side of core is prevented from shifting downward the header plate 5. Thus, the abutting condition between the header plate 5 and side plate 9 is kept, brazing is surely executed. On the other hand, core both side has a large flaring angle as well as load, because this large load is borne on the side plate 9, the tubes 2 on both side of core is not buckled. |
