PURPOSE:To enable an image to be successively formed by supplying continuously ink solution to a high-molecular gel in a method wherein discharge of ink solution from a polymeric electrolytic gel is controlled by conducting a current to form an image. CONSTITUTION:A polymeric electrolytic gel layer 116 containing ink solution is supported on a porous annular support 114. A common electrode 114 is provided on one peripheral surface side of the gel layer 116. A signal electrode 122 is provided in contact with the other peripheral surface side. An ink solution-supplying means 118 supplying ink solution 120 is provided to an inner peripheral surface of the gel layer 116. A current is conducted to the common electrode 114 and the signal electrode 122. The ink solution is discharged, in an image manner, onto an outer peripheral surface of the gel layer 116. Besides, by absorbing the ink solution 120 from the ink solution supplying means 118 onto the inner peripheral surface of the gel layer 116 through the porous support 114, a polymeric gel of a contraction part is swollen again. |
