PURPOSE:To perform wavelength multiple optical recording by utilizing a permanent hole burning phenomenon by forming an optical recording medium by using a high polymer having a carboxyl group and/or a decarbonated type photosensitive group as a matrix. CONSTITUTION:A high polymer having a carboxyl group and/or a decarbonated type photosensitive group is used as a matrix to form an optical recording medium. The obtained optical recording medium has such a structure that the optical absorption center is dispersed in the matrix and surrounded by a part whose light absorption is reduced as compared with the light absorption center. Therefore, this recording medium can be adapted to an optical recording method utilizing a hole burning phenomenon bringing about the reduction of local light absorption in the light absorbing spectrum due to the irradiation with light. As a concrete example of the matrix polymer having the carboxyl group, there is polyvinyl hydrogen phthalate and, as a concrete example of the matrix polymer having the decarbonated type photosensitive group, there is a polymer containing an acetophenooxime group. |
