The invention relates to a dust filter system for heaters which are mounted or placed in particular in the vicinity of the wall and are preferably operated in the domestic, office, hotel sector and the like. The object of the invention, providing a dust filter system which prevents as far as possible dirtying of the heater itself and also the wall areas surrounding it without noticeably impairing the convection current, is achieved according to the invention by a filter element being formed from a fine-mesh, sufficiently heat-resistant plastic material having a surface which is smooth to a very great extent, which filter element is mounted by one or more support elements in such a manner that at least all of the flow-through orifices of the heater up to the wall and against this are covered.
