PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of translating operation when a translator who speaks a translation destination language as his or mother tongue is directly commissioned to do translation by granting a reading of specific characters to an input document and granting a translation of the language of the translation destination to words and phrases in the input document. CONSTITUTION:A translation commission source 1 grants an input document of Japanese as the translation source to an input part 3, which supplies the input document 2 to a reading/translation granting part 4. The reading/ translation grating part 4 analyzes a Japanese sentence of the input document 2 to grant a reading in Roman character (or other characters) and give equivalents in English (or other languages) as a translation destination language to words and idioms. In the reading/translation grating part 4, a reading/ translation granting process part takes a morpheme analysis, a relational connection analysis, etc., of the Japanese sentence of the input document 2 by using an MT(machine translation) system to obtain readings of words and idioms in the input document 2 by using MT dictionaries, and also obtains, for example, English equivalents in the translation destination language and puts them together with the original Japanese sentence. |
