PURPOSE:To improve the throughput of sheet by switching the re-transporting pathes in accordance with the sheet size, and the image memory quantity or the like at the time of forming both-side or multiple image. CONSTITUTION:The image of the second side at the time of forming the both- side image is formed by switching two re-transporting pathes 6 for the sheet S by a re-transporting guide 13. Because of that the size generally adapted for forming the both-side image is the A4 size, two sheets of A4-size original are placed on the original platen glass 1a. Therefore, in the case of the small size (<A4 size), the original A4 for forming the image on the front side and the original B for forming the image are simultaneously placed on the rear side on the glass 1a, and the side A is read by the reader part 1 at first to form the image of the side A on the sheet S. The sheet S formed with the image on the side A is transported to the image forming part 2 again through the re-transporting path 6 and guide 13. In this timing, the original B is read in the reader part 1 to form the image of the side B on the sheet S. |
