PURPOSE:To generate character patterns of various designs with absolute minimum operation by modifying a character string having, specially, a background, with an easy input operation. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 generates basic data for generating a desired design character pattern according to a kind and various formats. The kind and formats are specified on a displayed operation screen. Once control information specifying the generation position and size of the design character pattern is set, a background design and a character string design are developed respectively by, for example, an outline font development system by using the basic data according to the control information. Consequently, the design character pattern of specified magnification and a specified font is developed. |
