Turntable

A turntable is described, in particular for receiving exhibits at fairs or the like, having a rotatably mounted hub which is connected to a supporting profile which comprises outwardly extending profile elements and is driven by means of at least one motor. A substantial reduction in the weight of the turntable is achieved by virtue of the invention in that the drive is provided by linear motors which are arranged in a manner distributed over the circumference of the turntable beneath the supporting profile.
