The invention relates to a Spaetzle cutter having a perforated plate on which a dough slide is arranged so as to be displaceable back and forth. To produce an automatic back-and-forth movement of the dough slide, the latter is coupled to a drive device which produces a back-and-forth movement. For this purpose, there is preferably provided a chain drive with which a large stroke length is achievable.
