The stand consists of a basic stand (1) having parts cut and removed from it to define max. and min. widths of cloth produced, a groove (3) being cut into the stand, and travelling stands (2) having a projection rib (4) and adjustably attached to the basic stand by support plates (5) and bolts (6) using the rib and groove to locate the pieces to avoid edges liable to mark the cloth. The stand copes with all widths of cloth and has a long service life without marking the cloth.
