PURPOSE:To prevent the elution of the component of a composite into the blood by forming an antithrombotic composite useful for giving antithrombotic property to an artificial blood vessel or artificial organ having a crosslinked structure by use of a composite consisting of a lipid or quaternary ammonium salt and a polysaccharide or synthetic polymer. CONSTITUTION:As the forming material of a medical equipment having good mechanical characteristics such as flexibility, elasticity, durability and wet strength and further making contact with the antithrombotic blood, a composite consisting of a lipid or quaternary ammonium salt and a polysaccharide or synthetic polymer which has a crosslinked structure, or a composite consisting of the lipid or quaternary ammonium salt, a sterol or protein, and the polysaccharide or synthetic polymer which has the crosslinked structure is used. As the lipid, phosphatizyl choline, lecithin, lysolecithin are used, and as the quaternary ammonium salt, dialkyl dimethylammonium salts having alkyl groups having 10-30 carbon atoms are used. |
