PURPOSE:To obtain surface flatness and to simplify the production process by printing a substrate with ink consisting of a vehicle essentially comprising a thermosetting melamine resin having specified hardening temp. and higher alcohols of specified carbon number and org. pigments dispersed in this vehicle. CONSTITUTION:The color filter 10 consists of a substrate 11, a color filter layer 12 comprising color layers of several colors of R (red layer), G (green layer) and B (blue layer) on the substrate, and a direct transparent electrode 13 formed on the filter layer 12. The color filter layer 12 consists of a vehicle and org. pigments dispersed in this vehicle. The vehicle consists of three kinds of compsns., and they are a thermosetting melamine resin having 150-300 deg.C hardening temp., epoxy resin, and higher alcohols of >=10 carbon number. The thermosetting melamine resin is a thermosetting resin obtd. by addition polymn. reaction of melamine and aldehydes. The epoxy resin is a polymer material produced by ring-opening reactin of epoxy groups. |
