PURPOSE:To produce a carbon cluster such as 60C or 70C cluster in high production efficiency. CONSTITUTION:Carbon vapor produced by evaporating a carbon source at a high temperature is cooled and condensed to recover a carbon cluster. In the above process, the material for the carbon source is selected from carbonaceous material having a crystal form characterized by the (002) spacing (d002) of <=3.371Angstrom and a C-axis crystallite size (Lc) of >=290Angstrom determined by X-ray diffraction. |
