<p>PURPOSE:To maintain a toner electrostatic charge quantity and toner adhesion quantity adequate over a long period of time by imparting the same electrostatic charge polarity as the electrostatic charge polarity of a developer by triboelectrostatic charge with the surface of a developer carrying member to a base resin. CONSTITUTION:This developing device is constituted to deposit the nonmagnetic one- component developer which consists of toners formed by adding auxiliary agents at need to the base resin and is electrostatically charged to positive or negative onto the developer carrying member and to visualize an electrostatic latent image by this deposited developer. The base resin is constituted to be provided with the same electrostatic charge polarity as the electrostatic charge polarity of the developer by the triboelectrostatic charge with the surface of the developer carrying member. The toners are formed by internally adding a charge polarity agent to the base resin and externally adding a fluidizing agent thereto. In addition, the electrostatic charge quantity of the developer carrying member and the base resin alone is preferably >=30% of the electrostatic charge quantity of the developer carrying member and toners. As a result, the stable toner electrostatic charge quantity is obtd. even if there is a change in the behavior of the charge polarity agent and the external additives, such as silica, in the toners with lapse of time.</p> |
