The invention relates to insulating bricks consisting of two shells (1) and (2) joined face to face at their free edge by a belt (hoop) of plastic (6) forming an external frame (6) also serving as means for connection to adjacent bricks, by bonding, and consists in including, between the shells (1) and (2), a middle partition (3) consisting of a sheet of plastic trapped firmly between the free edges of the two shells, the plastic used having a coefficient of thermal transmission less than that of the material forming the said bricks, the frame (6) being put in place by moulding or crimping a plastic hoop which has been manufactured beforehand by injection moulding. <IMAGE>
