CONSTITUTION:This surface light source device is provided with a light transmission plate 1 where a light diffusing part 2 is rectangularly formed, and which satisfies an expression near a light source 5 and is arranged so that linear density may be >=2.5 near a surface opposed to the light source 5 is used.
