PURPOSE:To allow an economical operation regardless of the operational fluctuation while sustaining the storage amount substantially within a desired range by deciding the storage amount stepwise thereby allowing regulation of output from a squirrel-cage polyphase induction machine under power generation mode. CONSTITUTION:When an auxiliary acceleration mode is designated under travelable mode of an internal-combustion engine 1, a control circuit 5 operates a squirrel-cage polyphase induction machine 2 as a generator and checks the battery condition. The battery condition is checked by making a decision whether the auxiliary acceleration has sustained 1 sec or longer and measuring the discharge current and terminal voltage of a storage means 3 and then deciding the storage amount stepwise with reference to a map recording the voltage characteristics with respect to the discharge current. Subsequently, a decision is made whether it is a regenerative mode and if it is not, the power generation mode is set and the slip amount of the induction machine 2 is regulated depending on the decision results of the means for deciding the storage amount of the storage means 3 stepwise thus regulating the output under power generation mode. |
