PURPOSE:To provide a vibrating motor whose dimensional accuracy is comparatively loose, which can be designed and manufactured easily, easily change the direction of rotation of a rotor, and has a high rotating efficiency. CONSTITUTION:A stator part 20 includes tow piezoelectric elements 22, 24 which have been polarized in an oblique direction, two electrode plates 26, 28 which are used to apply a high-frequency AC voltage at a definite frequency to them, a first metal block body 30 and a second metal block body 32 which are arranged so as to sandwich them from the outside and a coupling bolt 36 which is used to tighten the metal block bodies. When the piezoelectric elements 22, 24 which have been polarized in the oblique direction are vibrated, longitudinal vibrations along the shaft of a rotor part and twisted vibrations along the direction of rotation of the rotor part can be generated simultaneously. Thereby, elliptical vibrations in which the longitudinal vibrations and the twisted vibrations have been composed are generated on a rotor contact face 12, and the rotor part 10 can be turned and driven. |
