<p>PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption to an irreducible minimum even when a memory scale becomes larger in a memory controller. CONSTITUTION:A main power source from a main power source circuit 18 is supplied to only memory blocks according to a memory address accessed realy and the memory address estimated to be accessed in the near future by the control of a supply control circuit 14, and backup power sources from backup power source circuits 150-15n are supplied to other memory blocks not accessed. Thus, when the memory address coincides with the estimated memory address, the memory block to which the main power source is supplied beforehand is accessed, and even when voltage stabilizing time at the time of moving from the state where the backup power source is supplied to the state where the main power source is sup-plied is not considered, the continuous accessing to the memory is performed, and the backup power source is supplied to the memory not accessed.</p> |
