PURPOSE:To obtain showup effect matching a next KARAOKE performance music in the period from the end of a KARAOKE performance to the start of the next KARAOKE performance by reading control information corresponding to selected music out of a storage means and supplying it to external equipment, making the equipment to start operating, and then starting reproduction for the musical perfofmance of a recording medium as to the selected music. CONSTITUTION:Control information on plural pieces of music are previously reproduced from a disk 5 and stored in the storage means, and when one piece of music is selected by operation, the control information corresponding to the selected music is read out and supplied to the external equipment, i.e., a lighting device 25, a background video device 26, and a speech processor 27, so that they start operating. Then the selected music from the disk 5 is played and the KARAOKE performance sound begins to be reproduced. Therefore, operation corresponding to the next KARAOKE performance music is started before the next KARAOKE performance sound is actually outputted after one KARAOKE performance ends, and an image of selected music to be played next is represented even by the external equipment. |
