PURPOSE:To provide a developing device capable of easily washing out the toner refuse even if it sticks to a pair of squeezing roller, so as to prevent the toner refuse from sticking to the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:Among a pair of squeezing rollers for squeezing out the developer sticking to the photoreceptor 13 holding there between from the both side of the photoreceptor 13 after the developing, the diameter of the one roller 34 is made larger than the diameter of the other roller 35, and the hardness of the squeezing roller 34 having the larger diameter is made higher than the hardness of squeezing roller 35 having the smaller diameter. Even in the case the toner refuse sticks between the pair of roller, the toner refuse is easily removed by the rotational difference between the both roller 34 and 35. The squeezing roller 34 having the larger diameter never becomes depressed by the hardness difference between the both roller 34 and 35.
