<p>PURPOSE:To provide the manufacture of a chip resistor where the blur, vanishment, etc., of a mark never occurs by improving the production efficiency of a chip resistor and also, enabling the sharp declaration even if it is a minute mark. CONSTITUTION:A protective film 3 to cover a resistor layer 2 is formed of the resin including thermally irreversible discolor resin which discolors to the heat as the ingredient of the protective film of a chip resistor, and the resistance value of the resistor layer 2 is adjusted by trimming it from the surface of the protective film 3 by laser, and also the output of the laser is adjusted, whereby a mark is applied on the protective film 3, and then the protective film 3 and the resistor layer 2 are covered with a transparent or semitransparent resin protective layer 5.</p> |
