An arcuate building structure (200) containing at least three five-sided building blocks (202), at least three six-sided building blocks (204), and means for connecting (163) one of said five-sided building blocks (202) to at least one of said six-sided building blocks (204) is disclosed. The left (218) and right (220) sides of the six-sided block (204) are congruent, are in the shape of a parallelogram, and contain a recess (237) within their borders. The five-sided building block (202) contains a top side (240) with a substantially rectangular shape and a recess (237) disposed within such shape, a left (242) and right (244) side (each of which are congruent with the left (218) and right (220) sides of the six-sided building block (204)), and a front (238) and back side (each of which are congruent with each other and with the back side (216) of the six-sided building block (204)).
