1292096 Solvent dyeing FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER AG 19 April 1971 [28 Jan 1970] 20585/71 Heading D1B [Also in Division C4] Synthetic fibre materials are continuously dyed in an organic solvent which contains a dye of formula I: in which Acyl is the acyl radical of an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic carboxylic or sulphonic acid or an alkoxycarbonyl, aryloxycarbonyl, dialkylaminosulphonyl, dialkylaminosulphinyl, or monoalkylaminosulphonyl group, X and Y independantly are amino groups optionally substituted by an alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, aryl, or acyl group, or one hydroxyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, alkylmercapto or arylmercapto group, Z, and Z 2 are hydrogen or are groups indicated for X and Y, R is halogen or an alkyl, aryl, alkoxy, aryloxy, alkylmercapto, or arylmercapto group and m is 0, 1 or 2, the fibre being impregnated with the dye solution followed by a heat treatment. The solvents used are water immiscible and of boiling point 40 to 150‹C e.g. tetrachloroethylene, 1, 1, 1-trichloroethane, the heat treatment being at 120 to 230‹C or in superheated solvent vapour at 100 to 150‹C. Polyamide, polyesters, cellulose triacetate, polyurethane, polyolefine and polycarbonates are dyed. |
