<p>The present invention discloses a bleed valve for a gas turbine engine in which the bleed valve comprises two segments of the housing which forms the gas flow path through the compressor. One of the segments being moveable (10) away from the second segment (12) to create an opening between the two segments. The moveable segment (10) having one or more arms (60) with one or more rollers (56) attached to the end thereof. The stationary segment (12) having one or more paths (58) in which the rollers (56) travel when a force is applied to the moveable segment (10) causing the rollers (56) to travel along the path (58) and separating the two segments opening the valve.</p> |
