The grinder has at least one pair of grinding rollers driven by a drive assembly (9). The rollers rotate at different speeds. A reduction gearing is provided for driving the slower roller. The drive shaft (3) of the drive assembly is connected to the axle (4) of the faster roller (1) and moves at the same speed. The slower roller (2) is thus driven by the drive shaft at the lower speed through the reduction gearing. The slower roller can be driven by the faster roller through a belt drive (6) which is deflected through guide pulleys.
