PURPOSE:To produce a fiber reinforced inorganic cured body excellent in bending strength, etc., by bearing organic synthetic fiber to nap the surface and increasing the surface area and thereafter blending this organic synthetic fiber with hydraulic cement and molding this blended material, aging and curing the molded body. CONSTITUTION:Organic synthetic fiber such as polyacrylonitrile fiber, polyolefin fiber and 'Vinylon(R)' fiber is beaten to nap the surface and the surface area is increased. This beating treatment is preferably performed by mixing and dispersing the organic synthetic fiber with/in water and passing the mixture through the refiner of a double disk or a single disk. Further the organic synthetic fiber having 5 - 100mum fiber diameter and 2 - 10mm length is suitable. Hydraulic cement blended with the treated organic synthetic fiber is molded, aged and cured. In this case, the blending amount is properly regulated to 0.2 - 2wt.% of the finally cured body. The adhesive properties to the cement matrix is enhanced by napping the organic synthetic fiber and sufficient reinforcing effect is shown. The fiber reinforced inorganic cured body excellent in bending strength, etc., is obtained without utilizing asbestos. |
