To achieve uniform and defined recrystallisation with a low input of energy in the production of seamless pipes of non-ferrous metals, in particular copper and copper alloys, the proposal is that, following the first cold-forming process and, if required, further cold-forming steps, the semi-finished pipe (tube) should be wound up into a coil and subjected to the recrystallisation process as a coil.
