PURPOSE: To reduce costs by reducing the length of a socket body, and reducing the materials used. CONSTITUTION: A connector assembly 20 has a metallic female housing socket 30. The female housing socket has a pair of flanges substantially perpendicular to the axis of the socket to retain sealing rings 34 and the retainer 32 of a conduit 22 within the socket 30. The socket 30 also has one or plural barb corners on its stem to enhance retention of the conduit onto the stem. |
