PURPOSE:To obtain a novel developing/erasing agent in a reversible thermal recording material developing and erasing an image chemically only by the control of heat energy and also having memory properties. CONSTITUTION:In a reversible thermal recording medium wherein a recording layer based on a leuco dye, a developing/erasing agent and a binder is provided on a support and the developing/erasing agent is an amphoteric compd. thermally reacting with the leuco dye to develop and erase a color, the developing/ erasing agent is an aminonaphthoenic acid compd., an aminobenzoic acid compd. or a pyridinecarboxylic acid compd. |
