PURPOSE:To concurrently provide both an idling function where idle operation can be performed and an overload preventing function where transmitting torque to a load sheave from an operating lever can be set at normal use time and further in the case of applying a load exceeding the preset transmitting torque, hoist and traction any more can be disabled. CONSTITUTION:In a lever type hoist traction device provided with a mechanical brake, a feed handle 13 is provided in a drive shaft 5, and an idling unit is provided between this feed handle 13 and a drive member 8. The drive member 8 is constituted of a brake retainer 81 and a rotary member 82 screwed to the drive shaft 5, to rotatably support this rotary member 82 to a sleeve 81a of the brake retainer 81 to also screw a transmitting torque set adjusting member 86, and between this adjusting meber 86 and a flange 81b of the brake retainer 81, the rotary member 82, friction plate 83, retainer and an elastic member 84 are interposed. |
