<p>The electric steam iron has a surge chamber between the soleplate and the soleplate cover, with a connection through the soleplate cover between the surge chamber and the water tank, with a flow control. The seal at the flow opening in the soleplate cover has a sealing section, and a leg projecting downwards through it with a nozzle to direct water into the surge chamber, on a line at a tangent to the under side of the cover, towards a thermostat which controls the soleplate temp.</p> |
