PURPOSE:To provide the information gathering device which can be installed newly or moved without interference with operation. CONSTITUTION:This information gathering device which gathers equipment information and terminal equipment process information from an optional number of terminal equipments having respective address values set and different equipment information through a connection line is provided with an address managing means 5 wherein the address values of the respective terminal equipments are registered, a communication control means 6 which makes transmission requests including the respective address values registered in the address value managing means 5 and also receives the equipment information sent from the respective terminal equipments corresponding to the respective address values, and an information processing means 7 which generates a master file of the terminal equipments by making the equipment information, received by the communication control means 6 from the terminal equipments, correspond to the respective address values. Consequently, the equipment information on the respective terminal equipments can automatically and correctly be set and an information gathering device can be installed newly or moved without interference with the operation. |
