PURPOSE:To improve discrimination and recognition throughput to an object in the pictures of a scene provided with plural gradations and the local difference of the object. CONSTITUTION:This processor is provided with a ternary processing means 30 for obtaining ternary pictures from the output of a filtering means 20, a feature vector extraction means 49 provided with a local feature detection means 41-1 for detecting the degree of the similarity of the ternary picture and a local patterns, a threshold value means for generating the output when the degree of the similarity with the local pattern is above a fixed value and a local feature counting means 42-1 for counting the number of the output generation points of the threshold value means in the pictures and a feature vector discrimination means 50 for obtaining the degree of the similarity of the output of the feature vector extraction means 49 and a standard vector and outputting a judged result. |
