PURPOSE:To provide the original input device in which main scanning is executed stably in a short time after a reference board for correction of magnification is read even in the case of a transparent original and it is not required to turn on/off the lighting in a short time. CONSTITUTION:The original input device 1 is characterized to be provided with a transparent original placing plate 5, a transparent original use linear light source 12, an image forming optical system 20 having an optical magnification variable function, a drive means moving the original placing plate 5 or the transparent original use linear light source 12 and the image forming optical system 20 in a direction in crossing with the optical path from the transparent original use linear light source 12 to each other, a magnification correction reference board 50 located on the same plane as an original D on the original placing plate 5 and arranged to a position entering the optical path when the original D is deviated from the optical path in which a scale of an equal pitch is formed to a transparent plate and an optical magnification calculation means obtaining the optical magnification based on the interval of the scale of the magnification correction reference board 50 read by the image forming optical system 20. |
