<p>PURPOSE:To provide the information processing system sufficiently provided with a networking function for supporting multimedia application while maintaining characteristics of a work station of its own. CONSTITUTION:This information processing system is provided with hardware resource 11-1n having capability for processing continuous information such as moving image audio information, resource managing parts 21-2n for respectively individually managing these hardware resources, a connection managing part 30 for managing the relation of connection among the hardware resources, processing request parts 41-4n for individually requesting the processing of continuous information to the resource managing parts 21-2n according to a user program 10 for processing the continuous information, and a connection request part 50 for requesting the connection among the hardware resources requested with processing to the connection managing part 30 in accordance with the user program 10.</p> |
