The therapeutic electrical application apparatus for detoxification and toning treatment of the skin includes an assembly (28) for generating periodic electric signals that constitute a current transmitted cutaneously to a subject by two application electrodes (5) and (6), which electric current results from periodic modulation of a sinusoidal signal by a fundamental component of sinusoidal or simple or composite quasi-sinusoidal general shape. The invention is of interest to manufactures of apparatuses for electrical application of a treatment current.
