A glass-scoring wheel 18 for scoring glass sheets 20 is mounted at the tip of a doubly cranked shaft with sections 14, 13 and 12 in a head assembly which follows the external profile of a template 19. The force F which keeps the assembly against the template is applied to the central section of the shaft via the pusher member 17, which is provided with bearings-where section 13 passes therethrough, and the template-is maintained in direct contact with the upper section of the shaft 12 or, as shown, with a wheel mounted for rotation on that section of the shaft. This arrangement -is stated to enable -the scoring 'head to follow the template profile more -readily, especially on small radius curves.</p> |
