PRODUCTION OF ALKENYLBENZENE

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a process for producing an alkenylbenzene having high industrial utilization value and useful as a raw material for the production of naphthalenedicarboxylic acid valuable as a polymer raw material with a simple operation in high purity and yield. CONSTITUTION:An alkenylbenzene is produced by reacting an alkylbenzene with 1,3-butadiene in the presence of metallic sodium, a potassium salt and an aromatic compound capable of forming a charge transfer complex with metallic sodium.
