PURPOSE:To obtain the recording solution useful for ink-jet printer, net causing hindrance of supply and bad delivery, having specific physical values related to pressure loss, containing a coloring material, a water-soluble solvent and water. CONSTITUTION:In a recording solution containing a coloring material, a water- soluble solvent, when pressure loss of the recording solution in passing through a filter having 12-13mum effective permeability dimension and 18mum absolute elimination ratio of liquid is P0 and pressure loss after passing of 20ml of the recording solution through the filter having 4.5mm diameter is P20, Pcal calculated by formula I [Pcal is calculated value of pressure loss (kgf/m<2>) of recording solution; Q is flow rate (1/minute/m<2>) of the recording solution passing through the filter; eta is viscosity (cps) of recording solution at 25 deg.C; eta<0> is viscosity (cps) of water at 25 deg.C)] satisfies formula II and formula III to give the objective recording solution. |
