GLUCOMANNAN COATED SPUN YARN AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain spun yarns capable of exhibiting excellent weaving efficiency without waxing pretreatment and giving silk-like gloss and feeling by dying without singeing and desizing treatments after weaving by forming a specific polymer film on the surface of spun yarns. CONSTITUTION:Spun yarns of, e. g. natural fiber or synthetic fiber is treated with an aqueous suspension containing glucomannan to form glucomannan film on the surface of the spun yarns and then treated with an alkaline solution (preferably, e.g. sodium tetraborate or sodium carbonate) to obtain spun yarns forming little naps. The obtained treated spun yarns can exhibit excellent weaving efficiency without waxing pretreatment and produce a dyed woven product having silk-like gloss and excellent feeling by dying without singeing and desizing treatments after weaving.
