PURPOSE:To reduce the running cost while forming an image of high quality level by feeding a material to be recorded to an image forming means by a regular paper feed means or an exclusive paper feed means in compliance with the selected material to be recorded. CONSTITUTION:The whole of an image is divided into key unit areas and the recording density for respective unit areas is checked by an Image processing section 15 receiving an image data from a buffer memory 16. In the case even one unit area is beyond the given density, the case is judged as a high density image, and a pickup roller 5b is driven in compliance with a driving signal from a CPU and an exclusive paper 3 is fed from a cassette 4b to a recording section. On the other hand, in the case the density of the whole image is less than the given density, a pickup roller 5a is driven in compliance with the driving signal, and a regular paper 2 is fed from the cassette 4a to the recording section. In other words, in the case the recording image is of low density, the regular paper is selected automatically, and in the case of high density, the exclusive paper is selected automatically to eliminate the defective transfer of ink to the roller. |
