The system is of the type which has two motors (engines), a main motor 1 and an auxiliary motor 4, provided with respective transmission shafts 2 and 5 to the corresponding propellers 3 and 6, the characteristics thereof being centred on the fact that the aforesaid shafts 2 and 5 and, more specifically, the propellers 3 and 6 are superposed, specifically located in a vertical plane passing through the imaginary bow/stern axis of the boat, which plane also includes the shaft 7 of the rudder 8, in such a manner that, if one of these motors 1 and 4 is operational, or if both motors are operational at the same time, the force is always located in the longitudinal mid-line of the boat, in optimum conditions for sailing and manoeuvrability of the boat. <IMAGE>
