PURPOSE: To provide a device and method for automatically switching the channels for a TV and a VCR for dissolving the inconvenience of operating keys for plural times by the instruction of one time, by automatically switching a TV channel to a video viewable channel in reproduction mode to perform reproduction and channel changeover. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a reproduction detection part 10 for detecting whether or not it is a condition for executing video reproduction, a channel sensing part 20 for sensing the video viewable channel, a memory part 30 for storing a video viewable channel number, TV channel changeover data and a TV code, a control part 40 for outputting a channel switching instruction so as to switch the TV channel to the video viewable channel sensed by the channel sensing part 20 at the time of detecting a reproduction instruction and generally controlling a system and a remote control transmission part 50 for sending out the channel switching instruction outputted from the control part 40 to the TV and making the TV channel be switched to the view viewable channel. |
