PURPOSE:To quickly draw a smooth parallel curve by a Bezier curve. CONSTITUTION:A control point determining means 2 determines a new control point Q for drawing a parallel Bezier curve M from a control point P inputted from an input means 1 and line width W or a control point P for a reference Bezier curve L divided by a dividing means and the line width W. A parallelism evaluating means 3 evaluates whether parallelism between the curve M and L based upon the determined control point Q, e.g. a distance (d) of points t=0.5 between the curve M, L, satisfies a prescribed reference value or not, and when the reference value is satisfied, a parallel Bezier curve drawing means 5 draws a parallel curve. If the reference value is not satisfied, a reference Bezier curve dividing means 4 divides the curve L at a point t=0.5 for instance. The determination of a new control point Q, the evaluation of parallelism and the division of each Bezier curve is repeatedly applied to both divided Bezier curve until the parallelism satisfies the prescribed reference. |
