PURPOSE:To automatically reset an eddy current type reduction gear to a non- brake position before a vehicle is stopped. CONSTITUTION:A magnet supporting ring 27 comprising a large number of magnets 26 arranged peripherally at a constant interval with respect to a brake drum 25 coupled with the output shaft 17 of a reduction gear for vehicle is switched between a brake position susceptible to the field and a non-brake position not susceptible to the field by means of an actuator B. A release switch 13 for switching the actuator B to the non-brake position when the vehicle speed is lower than a predetermined level is inserted into the conduction circuit of a solenoid switch valve 12 for controlling the actuator B at a position where an accelerator pedal 6 is released from a clutch pedal 8. |
